Flood Barriers in Florida and the US
Our Flood Barrier Systems are the result of over 25 years of research and development. We have engineered and tested two different Removable Flood Panel Systems. One System is capable of reaching 4’-6″ high and the other up to 8’-0″ high. These custom flood panel systems are designed in accordance with:
- FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) recommendations on dry flood proofing, FEMA Technical Bulletin 3-93.
- The American Society of Civil Engineers Standards ASCE 7-16 (minimum design loads for buildings and other structures).
- The American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE 7-16 section 5.4 (loads during flooding).
- The Florida Building Code, 2020 Edition, including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone Provisions.
These Flood Barriers Systems are able to span 4 feet horizontally without bracing. They can also be attached to one another to make a continuous flood barrier wall. This application will require bracing 4’ O.C., or we can custom engineer a flood barrier system to meet your needs.
